Squire Patton Boggs Expands Corporate and Financial Services Practices With Pair of Hires

Squire Patton Boggs is delighted to welcome Mona Ma as of counsel into its Financial Services Practice from Akron Children’s Hospital and Frank P. Esposito as a principal in the Corporate Practice from Turntide Technologies.

Commenting on the additions, Cip Beredo, Americas Chair of the firm’s global Corporate Practice said, “Mona and Frank are experienced practitioners with diverse backgrounds who bring years of in-house experience and a client’s eye to transactions. We have known both of them for years and are excited that they have joined the team.”

Ms. Ma joins the firm’s Financial Services Practice from Akron Children’s Hospital where she served as Associate General Counsel and prior to that, she practiced law in a regional law firm. She brings over a decade of law firm and in-house legal experience, with primary legal training in commercial finance. She has substantial experience in syndicated and bilateral loans, secured and unsecured loans, ABLs and cash flow lending, senior debt and mezzanine debt, lender-side and borrower-side work, construction loans, working capital financing, equipment financing, acquisition financing for PE firms and for strategic buyers, term loans and revolvers, new origination and re-financing. Ms. Ma served as a law clerk for the Ohio Supreme Court and for the US Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of Ohio. A fluent Mandarin and English speaker, she is a summa cum laude graduate of Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall School of Law and Shijiazhuang University of Economics in northern China.

Frank P. Esposito joins the Firm’s Corporate Practice after most recently serving as Senior Director, US Corporate Securities and M&A for Turntide Technologies, an emerging tech company that makes intelligent, sustainable motor systems. He has previously served as VP, Corporate Secretary and Deputy General Counsel for chemical manufacturing company OMNOVA Solutions and as securities and M&A counsel for KeyBank. Mr. Esposito has significant experience in corporate governance, financial reporting, executive compensation, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions matters. He leverages his prior in-house legal and business experiences to provide companies and investors with practical, business-minded legal advice during their most significant corporate actions and events across a range of industries and transactions. Mr. Esposito began his legal career as an associate with the firm. He is a graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and holds an MBA, Finance and BA from Seton Hall University.
