Squire Patton Boggs Peña Prieto Gamundi acted as Dominican counsel to the underwriters and lenders of Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom) on a $940 million transaction to finance the extension of the concession agreement for six airports throughout the Dominican Republic, which was named “Airport Financing of the Year” at the LatinFinance 2025 Project & Infrastructure Finance Awards. The transaction was one of the largest financings in the history of the country.
The Santo Domingo-based team was led by partners Rhina M. Martinez Brea and Pedro O. Gamundi, and included associates Katiuska Ortega and Juan Tomas Vargas.
The LatinFinance Project & Infrastructure Finance Awards recognize stand-out transactions and institutions in the capital markets of Latin America and the Caribbean. The Awards Dinner was held on October 2 at the Pierre Hotel in New York City.
