Ciara Downes is an associate in the Global Corporate Practice and is based in the Dublin office.
Ciara advises clients on all aspects of corporate and commercial law, including share and asset sales and acquisitions, private equity investments and group restructuring.

- Advised the management team of H&MV Engineering on a sale of a minority stake to LGT Bank AG and Hamilton Lane (2024).
- Advised Vp plc on the acquisition of Charleville Plant Hire (2024).
- Advised Glankos Holdings Limited on the acquisition of O’Dwyer Steel (2024).
- Advised Snigel Web Services on the acquisition of PubCol (2024).
- Advised the owners of Skanstec Group on the sale of the business to H&MV Engineering (2024).
- Advised the owners of Village Vets on an investment from Inflexion Private Equity (2024).
- Advised the owners of Wood Communications Limited, a leading supplier to the data and telecommunications industry in Ireland, on its sale to Alcadon Group AB (2024).
- Advised the owners of Esker Ri Nursing Home on the sale of the business to Evergreen Care (2023).
- Advised the management team of H&MV Engineering on the sale of a majority stake in to Exponent (2022).
- Advised BHSL on the acquisition of the Glan Agua group (2022).
- Advised ComfortDelGro on the acquisition of the GoBus group (2022).
- Advised Ellab Group on the acquisitions of Autocal and Calx Instrumentation Services (2021, 2022).
- Acted for a number of insurance brokers on their sales to Aston Lark, PIB and Innovu (2021, 2022).
- Advised Action Point on the acquisition of ICT Project Management and acted for the shareholders of Action Point on the subsequent sale of the group to Viatel (2021).
- Advised numerous startup companies in the technology, food and beverage and sports industries at various stages on fundraising rounds through SAFEs, CLN, Enterprise Ireland and crowdfunding.
