Rebecca Dücker is a senior associate in our Intellectual Property & Technology Practice based in Frankfurt. Her practice focuses on litigation in trademark, design, copyright and competition law. Rebecca Dücker advises and represents clients in the, inter alia, luxury goods, consumer goods and food industries in infringement proceedings before German courts and in cancellation and opposition proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Patent Court and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). She also represents clients in civil litigation matters.

Rebecca Dücker advises clients on managing global product piracy programs and represents them as injured parties in criminal or border seizure proceedings. Additionally, she counsels national and international clients on matters concerning product labeling, food law requirements, distribution issues, advertising law and related legal disputes.

She completed her legal clerkship in Frankfurt and New York City, where she worked for an international law firm, as well as in the IP department of one of the world-leading colour cosmetics brands.

Rebecca Dücker is a member of the German Association for Industrial Property and Copyright Law (GRUR) and the International Trademark Association (INTA).

  • Coordination and management of a global anti-counterfeiting program, including criminal and custom seizure proceedings for one of the world's leading producers of cosmetic products, with a total of 6 million counterfeit products seized and destroyed worldwide to date.
  • Successful representation of a US biotech company in several lawsuits against a German competitor for breach of trade secrets.
  • Successful representation of one of Europe's leading suppliers in the bicycle sector in a series of German and European trademark infringement and trademark cancellation proceedings, including before the Regional Court, the Higher Regional Court of Munich and the EUIPO board of appeals.
  • Advising a German agency of record for a car manufacturer on advertising law, in particular in the area of automobile advertising in accordance with the regulation on energy consumption labelling (PKW-EnVKV) and general principles of competition law.
  • Advising multiple leading spirits companies on branding issues, product labeling, distribution, packaging and food regulatory requirements.
  • Advising various clients from the food industry on trademark applications including the handling of opposition and cancellation proceedings before the German and the European trademark offices.
  • Representing a world-leading producer of electronic vehicles in several trademark cancellation proceedings before the European trademark office, as well as before the District Court in Munich and the Higher Regional Court in Munich.
  • Conducting multiple arbitrations for a bank to resolve domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy.
  • Representation of a government official of an Asian state in a legal dispute concerning freedom of expression against an online publication and its host provider.
  • Representation of a Spanish supplier in the automotive industry in a contractual dispute involving a damage claim exceeding €20 million.
  • Advising on various aspects of procedural and substantive law in a €2 billion cartel damages litigation case for a major airline.
