Morgan Hill is an associate in the Columbus office, where she focuses her practice on the full range of corporate governance, corporate securities and corporate compliance matters for public company clients. As a key member of our corporate governance and securities team, she advises clients across a range of industries on their state and federal securities law compliance and reporting obligations. Morgan’s work also includes assisting clients on various capital raising transactions, mergers and acquisitions and other strategic corporate transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Morgan served as assistant corporate counsel for a major retail corporation, where she assisted with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) reporting requirements, prepared board and committee materials and meeting minutes, as well as regularly handled corporate governance matters, including support of the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives. She also held a summer clerkship at another publicly-traded company, where she developed her passion and focus on helping public companies navigate their compliance and governance issues. This in-house experience helped Morgan develop a business mindset that her clients value, along with her responsiveness, attention to detail and her ability to provide solutions to complex issues critical to their business.
During law school, Morgan was a member of the Ohio State Law Journal and earned a CALI Award for Excellence in the Entrepreneurial Business Law Clinic. In addition to her academic achievements, she demonstrated a strong commitment to community service through her volunteer work with the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, where she was recognized as a Public Service Fellow, as well as her work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
