Marc Kenny is the deputy practice group leader for the firm’s Corporate Practice in Los Angeles. His practice focuses on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private securities offerings, and other strategic transactions representing private equity funds, independent sponsors and family offices, as well as public and private corporations.

During his career, Marc has worked in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and London, representing a wide range of clients, including, among others, Platinum Equity, DIRECTV, MGM Studios, Credit Karma, VXI Global, Everbright Global Management, WideOrbit, Centricus Asset Management, Constellation Brands, Idealab, Tactyc, AllTrails, Alpine Pacific Capital and Flaherty & Crumrine. His deal experience spans a vast array of industry sectors, including technology, digital media, communications, media/entertainment, healthcare, food/beverage and energy.

Marc regularly speaks at events on topics such as private equity, M&A and venture capital deal making trends. Marc is admitted to practice in California, New York and the District of Columbia.

  • Advised a global private equity firm with more than US$36 billion of assets under management with its various acquisitions, dispositions and add-on transactions in the transportation, logistics, manufacturing, technology and communications industries.
  • Advised a foreign private equity firm in its US and cross-border dispositions.
  • Advised the executive management team in the sale of an outsourcing business from funds affiliated with The Carlyle Group to funds affiliated with Bain Capital.
  • Advised a global business-processing outsourcing company in its US acquisitions.
  • Advised a UK private equity firm in its various US acquisitions and growth equity investments in the digital media, entertainment and food tech industries.

  • Advised a UK AIM-listed company its proposed acquisition of a digital audio technology and advertising company.
  • Advised a West Coast private equity firm in its acquisitions and co-investments, including its co-investments in various agribusinesses.
  • Advised a venture-backed personal finance company in its various debt and equity transactions from its initial convertible note financing through its various growth equity rounds of financing.
  • Advised a leading beverage company in its various acquisitions on the West Coast.
  • Advised a foreign investment fund in its minority equity investments in emerging growth technology and digital media companies.
  • Advised a non-profit community hospital based in Southern California in the sale of substantially all of its assets to an affiliate of a private research university in Los Angeles, California.
  • Advised an alternative investment fund in its proposed restructuring transaction of a national staffing business in Southern California.
