Her principal areas of expertise are in advising on board level recruitment and severance (including in relation to confidentiality/restrictive covenant issues), providing advice, support and assistance in the planning and implementation of complex restructuring and other change management programmes, many on a multijurisdictional basis, and in relation to TUPE and outsourcing. Working alongside her corporate colleagues, Janette has also been involved in managing the employment aspects of a wide range of mergers, takeovers and acquisitions, as well as a significant number of private equity transactions, acting for both investors and management.

Janette Lucas trained with Squire Patton Boggs and was appointed a partner in the Labor & Employment practice group in 2007. Janette has a broad client base which includes media and marketing services, financial services, commodities and logistics, and is not only key in supporting the employment team’s relationships with a number of its biggest clients, but also leads a number of her own client relationships.

Following a secondment to our Paris office, Janette was given responsibility for managing the relationship between our London and Paris offices and has played a key part in successfully expanding a number of key client relationships across both regions. She is also our representative for the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain, regularly attending and speaking at its HR Forum.
