Elizabeth Spencer Berthiaume is an associate in the Data Privacy, Cybersecurity & Digital Assets Practice. She focuses her practice on data privacy and protection, cybersecurity and data breach preparedness and response.

Elizabeth helps a broad array of clients navigate the myriad laws and regulations governing data protection, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the California Financial Information Privacy Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, the California Privacy Rights Act, state data breach laws and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau issues. She works closely with business units and cybersecurity teams on risk mitigation strategies and data privacy impact assessments, as well as assists with responding to consumer privacy complaints and regulatory inquiries.

Prior to entering private practice, Elizabeth served as assistant vice president-privacy counsel for a global provider of automotive financial services.
