International disputes are increasingly multijurisdictional, even where the substantive litigation or arbitration might be proceeding in a single forum. English courts play a significant supporting role in this global disputes ecosystem through remedies and procedures that can assist proceedings being conducted elsewhere.
As part of London International Disputes Week 2026 (LIDW), we are hosting a session which explores the circumstances in which English court support may be available for international litigation and arbitration, including freezing injunctions, evidence-gathering mechanisms (such as letters of request), modern search and imaging orders, as well as the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
Aimed at lawyers practising outside of England & Wales, the discussion will focus on practical strategy, coordination between jurisdictions and how international practitioners can engage with their chosen English legal team and the court when such support is needed.
