Squire Patton Boggs has advised Phoenix Equity Partners on its investment in Medmark Occupational Healthcare, Ireland’s largest and most established occupational healthcare provider. The investment, which is subject to standard regulatory approvals, will support the company’s next phase of growth and innovation.
The team advising Phoenix was led across our Irish and UK offices, by Corporate partners Ben Squires and George Kennedy, with Vicky Jew and Alison Davidson-Cox leading on equity and debt matters and Andre Vermeulen and David Nisbet on tax structuring.
Founded in 1987, Medmark supports more than half a million employees through a range of occupational health, health screening, workplace medical assessment and employee wellbeing services. Operating from nine locations across the island of Ireland, the company is the market leader in Ireland in occupational health, serving public and private sector organisations of all sizes and helping employers to create safer and healthier workplaces. Phoenix’s partnership with Medmark will help the organisation accelerate strategic initiatives already underway.
Ben Squires said, “We are pleased to have assisted our much valued client Phoenix on another outstanding investment in one of its core areas of focus, health and well-being.”
“Bringing together expertise in Dublin and in our UK offices,” George Kennedy added, “our full-service private equity team has advised on another significant PE investment in Ireland.”
