Squire Patton Boggs Advises Arco Group on Sale to H.I.G. Capital

Squire Patton Boggs has advised the shareholders of Arco, the UK’s leading safety specialist, on the sale of the company to global investment firm H.I.G. Capital.

The Squire Patton Boggs team advising Arco was led by Corporate partner Paul Mann and director Louise Parker and included partner Mae Salem, senior associate Emily Downie, associate Amelia Sharkey, associate Maisie Hodges, and associate Shaun Parsons.

Arco is the UK’s leading PPE (personal protective equipment) and safety specialist. The company combines expert advice, training, PPE, workwear and workplace safety products to provide solutions that help customers identify, manage and reduce risk and keep people safe at work. With more than 1,200 employees in the UK, Arco serves customers through its National Distribution Centre and network of Safety Centres and stores.

H.I.G. Capital is a leading global alternative investment firm with $75 billion of capital under management, with a focus on the mid cap segment of the market.

The transaction represents a significant investment in Arco, providing the capital and strategic support to accelerate growth, expand its capabilities and further strengthen its position across the PPE, workplace safety and training markets. The acquisition marks the beginning of a new phase of investment, with opportunities to extend Arco’s reach through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions and to broaden its market reach expansion across the UK, Europe and North America.
