Squire Patton Boggs has advised Goldenpeak, a private equity firm specialising in high-growth business and information services, on its majority investment in Ampere Analysis, a market-leading data and analytics business in the media, games and sports sectors.
The Squire Patton Boggs team advising Goldenpeak on its first significant invesment was led by Corporate partners Ben Squires, Matt Lappin and Andrew Slucky in London.
Ampere Analysis is a pioneering, founder-led data and analytics company operating in the multi-billion-dollar entertainment and media information sector. It offers its clients a comprehensive view of the global entertainment market through subscription-based online services, market intelligence, audience insights and monetisation strategies. Clients include major film and TV studios, technology companies, gaming groups, sports teams, leagues and governing bodies.
Goldenpeak is the first institutional investor in Ampere Analysis and brings substantial experience to support the company’s next phase of growth. The focus of the investment will be to fund growth initiatives for the business, including the simultaneous acquisition of PlumResearch, an independent data company that provides insights to the global entertainment industry.
