Cameron Kerrigan specializes in intellectual property rights. Cameron has applied his diverse technical and legal skills to client counseling, portfolio analysis, development and management, preparation and prosecution of patent applications, preparation of patentability, invalidity and noninfringement opinions, and the assertion and defense of patent litigation claims.
For more than 20 years, Cameron's practice has mainly focused on helping medical device companies protect and enforce their domestic and international intellectual property rights, as well as advising venture capitalists who invest in medical device companies. His medical and surgical device clients span a broad array of technologies including stents, drug delivery stents, angioplasty catheters, atherectomy devices, ventricular assisted devices, suturing devices, endoscopes, minimally invasive surgical equipment, hearing aids, dental implants, orthopedics, and diagnostic devices.
He serves as a member of the intellectual property committee of a major medical device and pharmaceutical company. Cameron played the leading role in successfully defending a European opposition against a patent covering the leading product of one of the world's largest medical device companies.
