Emily Snell is a senior associate in our Real Estate Practice Group, based in our Birmingham office.

Emily advises institutional investors, private equity companies, pension funds and developers in a range of sectors, including industrial, logistics, offices, retail, student accommodation and healthcare.

Emily spent six months on secondments at an alternative investment management company and a leading flexible workspace developer and operator.

Experience

Investment

  • Advised Indurent on its £489 million takeover of Warehouse REIT Plc.

  • Advised Blackstone and The Office Group on its £1.5 billion merger with Fora.

Industrial and Logistics

  • Advised Oryx Real Estate Partners on the acquisition of UK industrial logistics sites.

  • Advised Harbert Management Corporation on the acquisition of multilet industrial and logistics sites across the UK.

Offices

  • Advised M&G on the £132 million acquisition and subsequent letting of Ryder Court office in London.

  • Advised Convene Hospitality Group on the acquisition of premises at One Rathbone Square, London, from Meta.

Student Accommodation

  • Advised Blackstone on its £4.66 billion acquisition of UK student accommodation platform IQ from Goldman Sachs.

Development

  • Advised The Office Group on its £114 million acquisition of Chancery House, London, and its subsequent financing and redevelopment.

  • Advised the Greenlight Urban joint venture between Delancey and Coltham on the acquisition, development, financing and letting of its sustainability focused industrial and logistics portfolio.

  • Advised Lincoln MGT on the £750 million regeneration of Station Hill, Reading.

Finance

  • Advised Blackstone on its £537 million financing with Barclays (by way of CMBS) of two portfolios of logistics properties comprising 66 sites.

  • Advised Sunrise Real Estate and Aermont on the acquisition and financing of industrial and logistics sites across Greater London and Bedfordshire.
