Laura Ginzo is an associate in our Madrid office and a member of the firm’s Antitrust – Competition Practice. She advises on various aspects of European and Spanish competition law, including merger control, cartel investigation, abuses of dominance and restrictive practices.

Experience

  • Advising a global technology company in an abuse of dominance investigation from the European Commission.

  • Advising the buyer in a transaction in the Spanish defence sector. The Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competenci (CNMC) unconditionally cleared this transaction in March 2025.

  • Advising the buyer in a transaction in the Spanish retail equipment sector. The CNMC unconditionally cleared this transaction in January 2025.

  • Advising global internet-based service providers on regulatory and telecommunications matters, with particular focus on the implementation of the European Electronic Communications Code.

  • Advising a leading semiconductor company on merger control and foreign direct investment matters across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Conducting an internal investigation in a publicly listed company.
