Loana Martín is a senior attorney in our Washington DC office specializing in the construction and development of energy and infrastructure projects.
Loana advises developers, sponsors, investors, utilities, contractors, manufacturers and operators on large-scale natural gas, liquified natural gas (LNG), renewable and conventional power generation and storage, transportation, as well as other critical infrastructure projects throughout the US and Latin America. Her practice combines project development, commercial contracting and strategic legal counseling, including the negotiation of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), operations and maintenance (O&M), concession, public-private partnership (P3), equipment supply and joint venture arrangements, as well as advising on commercial strategy, risk allocation, governance and regulatory matters. Drawing on both law firm and in-house experience, she works closely with executive leadership and business teams to help bring complex projects from concept to operation.
Representing a manufacturer of next-generation long-duration energy storage systems in connection with the development of utility-scale energy storage projects, including battery supply, EPC and long-term service agreements supporting grid reliability and energy transition objectives.
Representing a major US solar developer in the development, acquisition, construction, operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar projects throughout the US and Latin America.
Representing a shareholder group in the development of the Manzanillo LNG-to-Power Complex, comprising approximately 840 MW of combined-cycle generation capacity and associated LNG receiving, storage and regasification infrastructure.
Representing a Dominican energy company in connection with the development of an approximately 420 MW natural gas-fired combined-cycle generation facility and associated infrastructure.
Representing affiliates of Pemex in the structuring, development, construction, operation, ownership and financing of the Los Ramones Phase II North and South natural gas pipeline system, with expected transport capacity of approximately 2.1 Bcf/day.
Representing a design-build contractor as part of a shortlisted team pursuing the I-24 Choice Lanes Project, a managed lanes public-private partnership procured by the Tennessee Department of Transportation, advising on concession, design-build, interface, commercial, contractual and risk allocation matters.
Representing a leading European rail manufacturer in connection with major US transportation projects, including the Maryland Purple Line Light Rail PPP Project.
