The Tenancy From Hell

Region: Europe
12 September 2023
Squire Patton Boggs
Rutland House, 148 Edmund Street,
Birmingham B3 2JR

Our Real Estate and Real Estate Litigation teams invite you to join them for an interactive workshop setting out “The Tenancy From Hell”.

During this hour-long workshop, our presenters will discuss the difficulties encountered in real-life situations, raising awareness of the issues that could arise during the term of a lease. Examples will include potential pitfalls when serving notices under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 to instigate a renewal, during lease negotiations (including negotiating heads of terms for a renewal lease) and reviewing a typical conditional break option scenario where tenants can come unstuck if they fail to exercise a contractual break under a lease validly.

Delegates will be encouraged to discuss their approach/experiences before our specialists share best practice for each scenario in further detail, leaving attendees with a deeper understanding of how to approach their own lease renewal negotiations or terminations.

This helpful landlord and tenant workshop is free to attend and suitable for property professionals at all levels, including those preparing for their APC examinations. It is also accredited for 1 CPD hour.
