David Milne
Partner
David specialises in private equity transactions, as well as UK and international mergers and acquisitions (M&A). His private equity experience includes acting for numerous private equity houses and a wide range of management teams and shareholders of businesses in diverse industry sectors. He has advised on investments, acquisitions, buyouts and disposals across the manufacturing, engineering, food and drink, consumer, technology, business services, facilities management and healthcare sectors. He has completed more than 100 M&A deals, including many cross-border transactions, and has acted for multinational corporations in complex reorganisations across several jurisdictions.
Clients have described David as “calm under pressure”, “technically excellent” and “of all the international counsel we have, David is the most responsive and easiest to work with”.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, David was a political lobbyist in Westminster.

- Advising Sodexo on the acquisitions of Alliance in Partnership and The Good Care Group.
- Advising Livingbridge-backed Broadstone on numerous acquisitions.

- Acting for Perwyn on the acquisition of Lowe Rental.
- Acting for Elysian Capital on the acquisitions of the Volvox Group, Axis Well Technology and Sambro International.
- Acting for Baird Capital on the acquisition of CAV Systems.
- Acting for Raisio plc on the €100 million sale of Big Bear Confectionery to Valeo and the €88 million acquisition of the Benecol business from Johnson and Johnson.
- Acting for the shareholders and management team of Allied Glass on consecutive disposals to private equity.
- Advising Euronet Worldwide Inc. on acquisitions in Poland and Ireland.
- Advising Inflexion and the management shareholders on the disposal of Ideal Shopping to Blackstone.
