Squire Patton Boggs is advising Inven Capital, the Czech venture capital fund, on acquisition of a majority stake in Hometree by alternative asset management firm Pollen Street Capital and Hometree’s simultaneous acquisition of OVO Energy’s Home Services business, including CORGI HomePlan and HomeHeat.
The Squire Patton Boggs team advising Inven Capital is led by Corporate of counsel Marek Hrubeš in Prague and includes Corporate partner Vicky Jew in Manchester and associate Olivia Baccarella in London.
Founded in 2015, Hometree has become the fastest-growing player in the UK home services market. It is also at the forefront of residential electrification, building one of the UK’s largest financing platforms for home energy solutions. The transaction will create the UK’s third-largest home services provider and further strengthen Hometree’s position as a leading residential energy services platform.
Squire Patton Boggs has advised Inven Capital since its initial Series A+ investment to Hometree in 2021, followed by several subsequent financings leading up to this transaction.
