Squire Patton Boggs served as co-bond counsel to the New York Transportation Development Corporation (NYTDC) in connection with a US$50.97 million bond financing for the expansion of the LaGuardia Airport Terminal B Improvement Project. Proceeds from the Series 2026 Bonds will be loaned to LaGuardia Gateway Partners, LLC, to fund improvements to the new Terminal B facilities at LaGuardia Airport, including the installation of electric ground service equipment charging stations and gate expansions.
Since 2016, Squire has advised NYTDC on several airport financings, including an US$875 million bond financing for Delta Air Lines at LaGuardia Airport and additional transformative projects at John F. Kennedy International Airport. This latest financing supports the continued modernization and expansion of one of the nation’s busiest airports.
The firm’s team was led by Public & Infrastructure Finance partners Alethia Nancoo, Catherine Romanchek, Lauren Trialonas, along with senior associate Ben Tobias. The team also received tax support from Public & Infrastructure Finance partner Michael Cullers and associate Natalie Vicchio, as well as support from Real Estate partner John Thomas, Public & Infrastructure Finance associate Meagan Rowley, and Corporate associate Bri Whitmore.
“We are pleased to continue supporting the modernization of LaGuardia Airport through our work with the New York Transportation Development Corporation,” said Ms. Nancoo, who serves as the firm’s global head of transportation infrastructure finance. “This financing advances important infrastructure improvements that will strengthen airport operations and help ensure that one of the region’s most significant transportation hubs continues to serve passengers and the surrounding community for years to come.”
