Alex Wolcott focuses his practice on patent prosecution for domestic and international applicants in a variety of fields, especially the software and telecommunications areas. Alex also works on inter partes review proceedings by assessing prior art references and grounds of invalidity.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex was a patent examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office for over three years. As an examiner, he primarily reviewed patent applications relating to e-commerce filed by companies including Amazon, eBay, Oracle and Xerox. In addition, Alex gained significant experience in subject matter eligibility issues under section 101.

While in law school, Alex worked as a summer extern at the USPTO. He also received the CALI Award for receiving the highest grade in his Advanced Legal Profession class.

Before attending law school, Alex worked as a senior consultant with Manhattan Associates in Atlanta, Georgia, where he designed and implemented custom supply chain software solutions.
