Squire Patton Boggs announced today that partner Scott Kane has been appointed co-chair of the firm’s global Litigation Practice.
“Scott has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor to clients across the country who come to him for their high stakes and sensitive disputes,” said Global Managing Partner Michele Connell. “He brings a wealth of experience and leadership to one of the firm’s largest practices as we continue to pursue strategic growth.”
Commenting on his appointment Mr. Kane said, “Having spent over two decades with the firm working with talented colleagues around the world, I continue to be impressed by our exceptional Litigation practice every day. Scott represents corporate clients, financial institutions, boards of directors and committees, public entities, and other clients in courts and arbitration proceedings across the US. His clients span a variety of industries, including financial services, manufacturing, consumer products, private equity, technology, professional services, and design and construction. Scott also has significant experience representing debtors and creditors in disputed matters in large chapter 11 cases and other bankruptcy-related litigation.
He previously served as managing partner of the firm’s Cincinnati office and, prior to law school, served in the United States Army.
