Partner Biographies: 

Abdulaziz Al-Alami (Corporate, Riyadh) represents national and foreign entities on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, capital markets, and corporate governance. He has also advised on a number of commercial arbitration proceedings in the Kingdom and represented clients before General Courts, Commercial Courts, the Committee for the Resolution of Securities Disputes, and the Committees for Banking and Financial Disputes and Violations in Saudi Arabia. Abdulaziz is qualified and admitted to the bar in Washington, D.C., New Jersey, and Saudi Arabia.

Michael Davar (Litigation, London) is a disputes specialist advising on an extensive book of cases covering the energy, shipping, international trade, construction and financial industries. Recent experience includes handling various high-value commercial cases in the English and Hong Kong courts and in arbitrations under the auspices of the ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, SIAC, HKIAC, LMAA and GAFTA arbitral rules. Michael holds degrees in law and economic history and speaks several languages, including Georgian.

Erling Estellon (Competition/Antitrust, Paris) focuses his practice on a wide range of issues under EU, French and UK FDI and competition laws, with particular emphasis on merger control, foreign investment, abuse of dominance, cartel, distribution and public procurement matters. Erling’s practice has been recognised in Best Lawyers, Global Competition Review and The Legal 500 describes him as “devoted to his cases and a hard worker”. In addition, Erling maintains an active pro bono practice, including advising on human rights and environmental matters.

Eric Peng Hu (Tax Strategy & Benefits, Hong Kong) offers US tax advice and helps to establish and operate structures for high-net-worth individuals on pre-immigration planning, investments in the US and international family planning with US connections. In addition, he assists clients in relation to wills, trusts, foundations and family offices, including drafting/reviewing wills and documents for family trusts and foundations, creating complex structures for trusts, foundations and family offices, assisting management, transactions, restructuring and termination in relation to these structures.

Andrew King (Litigation, Columbus) represents and advocates for clients in state and federal courts across the country. With a focus on complex civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution, he brings a competitive drive to cases involving contract disputes, business torts, real estate and construction disputes, products liability, cross-border litigation, and trade secret and intellectual property disputes. Andrew also advises clients on risk management and exposure. In addition to his trial practice, Andrew advises clients in the sports sector, with a focus on navigating the new legal framework regarding name, image and likeness (NIL).

Andy Kirkham (Financial Services, Manchester) undertakes a wide variety of transaction work, which includes bilateral and syndicated facilities and complex security arrangements for banks, funds, private equity providers and both onshore and offshore borrowers, with a particular focus on acquisition and leveraged finance and corporate lending as well as real estate finance.

Taylor Klavan (Public and Infrastructure Finance, Houston) focuses her practice on tax issues relating to public finance. She has devoted substantial time to providing guidance as tax counsel on all types of tax-advantaged state and local debt of all types, including governmental financings, financings for 501(c)(3) organizations, private activity bond financings in the transportation sector and other private activity bond financings, such as solid waste disposal facility and sewage facility financings for large utilities and industrial operations.

Erik Lange (Environmental, Safety & Health, Cleveland) focuses on environmental litigation and compliance and risk management counseling. He has assisted clients in matters involving federal and state agencies related to a variety of environmental laws, including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Emergency Planning and Community Right-to- Know Act (EPCRA), and various state laws and regulations, such as those governing oil and gas wells and underground storage tanks.

Mike Llewellyn (Intellectual Property & Technology, London) advises clients on the exploitation of commercial rights, with a particular focus on the sports and gambling industries on an international basis. He acts for sports clients on a broad range of matters, including media and broadcasting rights; data rights; sponsorship and endorsement arrangements; event hosting; sports hospitality; and ticketing arrangements. His gambling practice typically involves advising clients on GB gambling regulatory matters, as well as commercial agreements in the gambling sector (including white label agreements; platform hosting/operating agreements; and game development and licensing agreements).

Marion Seranne (Government Investigations and White Collar, Paris) counsels and advocates for clients in the government investigations and white collar arena, including in highly sensitive matters. Her experience crosses a variety of areas in civil, corporate and criminal contexts, including corruption, cartel and price fixing offences, misuse of corporate assets, as well as fraud and embezzlement. She regularly advises both French and international companies on issues spanning the full ESG and anti-corruption spectrum.  Her work regularly includes review of regulatory compliance, development and audit of compliance programs, conducting internal investigations, as well as handling pre-litigation and litigation phases (Sapin II, Loi de Vigilance, CSRD, among others…).

Tatiana Siakka (Competition/Antitrust, London) is a competition law specialist with wide-ranging experience in both transactional and contentious matters. She advises clients on all aspects of EU and UK competition law and related commercial strategy, and has successfully represented clients before the European and UK courts, as well as before the European Commission and the CMA. In addition to her transactional practice, Tatiana has extensive experience in high stakes competition litigation in the EU and UK courts, including the High Court, the Competition Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.

Amanda Dodds Price (Litigation, Houston) is a litigator with more than a decade of experience representing clients in complex commercial disputes, with a focus on the energy, healthcare and construction industries. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants at all stages of litigation in federal courts, state courts and arbitration.

Jeffrey Walker (Litigation, Columbus) represents US and multinational companies, financial institutions and foreign governments on a wide range of litigation matters and enforcement actions. His experience covers a broad scope of subject matters, including contract and licensing disputes, securities and shareholder derivative class actions, cross-border litigation, antitrust/unfair competition, trade secret and intellectual property disputes, and other complex commercial litigation matters. Jeff also has experience in assisting public and private companies with government enforcement actions and internal investigations.

Principal Biographies:

Morgan Miller – Litigation (Washington) represents clients involved in high stakes litigation before state and federal trial and appellate courts, including the US courts of appeals and Supreme Court. She has experience defending foreign governments, foreign state-owned entities and multinational corporations in a wide range of complex commercial disputes. Morgan specializes in litigating cases involving novel jurisdictional questions and procedural issues.

Erin Tallent – Litigation (Los Angeles) focuses her practice on complex and high-stakes litigation involving automotive fraud and breach of warranty claims. She predominantly represents companies and organizations involved in the design, development, manufacturing and selling of motor vehicles. Erin is proficient in all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and has over a decade of experience defending matters before state and federal courts.
